Robert Wells Anderson

MR. ROBERT W. ANDERSON Mr. Robert Wells Anderson, 87, of Luthersville, died Monday, July 9, 2012, at his home. Born March 14, 1925, in Savannah, Mr. Anderson was the son of the late Major Robert Anderson and Ruth Eva Percy Anderson. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during World War Two and the Korean War, and then served as an airline pilot for thirty years, retiring as a captain from Eastern Airlines. He had made his home at Luthersville since 1987. Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Gwendolyn Anderson of Luthersville; daughter, Laurie Wynn Brown, also of Luthersville; sons, Lawson Wells Anderson of Valdosta, Christopher Lee Anderson of Newnan; sisters, Delores Taylor of Boynton Beach, FL, Joan Picklesimer of West Palm Beach, FL; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. No services are planned at this time. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
