Robbie Combs Strickland

Mrs. Robbie Combs Strickland, 70, of Luthersville, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Mrs. Strickland was born August 13, 1946, in Newnan, daughter of the late Robert Hollis Combs and Evelyn Barber Combs. A resident of Meriwether County for many years, she was a graduate of Florida State University and had been employed as a dietary manager. She was a member of Lutherville Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Charles L. Strickland of Luthersville; her children and their spouses, Dewayne and Terri Strickland of Moreland, Brett and Paula Strickland of Newnan, Saundra and Dustin Strickland-Hogue of Franklin, Audrey and Alex Garcia of West Point; brothers, Lee Combs of Newnan, Randy Combs of Tyrone, William Combs of Whitesburg; twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 18, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Anthony Grant and the Reverend Justus Combs officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Georgia Sheriff's Association Youth Homes, Pineland Campus, 2048 Youngs Mill Rd., LaGrange, GA 30241. Claude A.
