MR. RICKY J. NIXON, SR

Mr. Ricky Joe Nixon, Sr., 69 of LaGrange, passed away, Sunday March 10, 2024, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mr. Nixon was born June 14, 1954, in Bowdon and was a lifelong resident of Troup County. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church and had worked for Wright Timber Company for over 20 years. Mr. Nixon enjoyed hunting and fishing, tending to his cows, and loved his grandchildren.

Survivors include his sons and daughters in-law, Ricky Nixon, Jr. and his wife, Amy Hyatt Nixon, of LaGrange and Andy Nixon and his wife, Amy Cummings Nixon, of Roanoke, AL; mother, Myrtle Nixon of LaGrange; brother and sister in-law, Jeff Nixon and his wife, Lynn, of LaGrange; grandchildren, Brice and his wife, Cameron, Brett and his wife, Kaitlyn, Megan, and Hayden; and great-grandchildren, Oaklynn, Lainey Jo, and Sawyer. Mr. Nixon was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Nixon; and his father, James Emory Nixon.

In keeping with Mr. Nixon's wishes, no services are being planned.
