Rick Polston

March 30, 1954 — July 25, 2021

Mr. Rick Polston, 67, of Union City, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021, Christian City Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Polston was born March 30, 1954, in Atlanta, son of the late Julian Edward Polston and Louise Eidson Polston. A lifelong resident of Fulton County, he was employed in masonry construction for many years, and enjoyed his work and also loved horses. Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Melissa and Joel Starnes of Newnan; sisters, Kitty Polston Dopp of Hogansville, Judy Polston Gresham and her husband Larry Gresham of Newnan; brother in-law, Steve Porter; sister in-law. Pamella Peschier; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Polston Porter; his brother, David Polston; and his brother in-law, David Dopp. A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, July 29, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with interment in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
