Mr. Richard Larry (Skeet) Stitcher, 80, of LaGrange, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at his home.
Mr. Stitcher was born March 1, 1937, in Newnan, son of the late W. B. and Vera Teal Stitcher. A veteran of service in the U. S. Army 101st Airborne, he lived in LaGrange most of his life and retired as warehouse manager from Stran Steel after 17 years of service. He was Baptist by faith and served as Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 220 for more than 20 years.
Survivors include his children, Wayne Fisher of Talladega, AL, Richard Kelly Stitcher of LaGrange, Lucinda Lee (Jimmy) Strowd of Springtown, TX, William Glenn (Lisa) Stitcher of Newnan, Bradley Dale (Samantha) Stitcher of LaGrange, David Jamie (Andrea) Stitcher of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Cole Stitcher; daughter in-law, Mary Fisher; sister, Margie Etheridge; brother, Charles (Buck) Sticher.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Entombment will be in Shadowlawn Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night.
