Mr. Richard Varley Molyneaux, 69, of Alexandria, VA and formerly of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, at Inova Alexandria Hospital.
Mr. Molyneaux was born April 18, 1951, in LaGrange, son of the late Dr. Evan W. Molyneaux and Jane Varley Molyneaux. As a young man, he was active in Boy Scouts and in later life he was a hard worker and was employed as an orderlie, a nursing assistant, a taxi driver, and a factory worker. Richard also assisted his family in the operation of Flat Creek Ranch in Hogansville for many years.
Survivors include his daughter and son in-law, Jennifer and Jason Cook of LaGrange; son, Robert Molyneaux of LaGrange; sisters, Yvonne Bledsoe and her husband Douglas Bledsoe of Versailles, KY, Dr. Miki Jackson and her husband Alan Jackson of Alexandria, VA, Joan Keegan and her husband Kevin Keegan of Hogansville; and grandchildren, Hope Louise Prescott, Shawn Michael Prescott, Katherine Bernice Prescott, and Elizabeth Gwen Prescott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Genie Molyneaux, and two daughters.
A memorial service is not being planned at this time.
