Richard Paul Lunsford

Mr. Richard P. Lunsford, 63, of Pine Mountain, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Lunsford was born October 28, 1957, in New Orleans, Louisiana, son of the late Juanita Hyde Lunsford and the late Jesse Paul Lunsford. A veteran of service in the United States Marine Corps, he was a former employee of the Macon Telegraph-News and then served as a team leader at Mobis Georgia prior to his retirement. He had lived in Troup County since 1991 and spent his free time volunteering at a food bank in Manchester. Survivors include his wife, Melinda Lunsford of Pine Mountain; daughter and son in-law, Elizabeth and Michael Maxwell of LaGrange; son, Michael Lunsford of Pine Mountain; step-son, Randy Reehal of Griffin; sister, Debra Robinson of LaGrange; and grandchildren, Brockston Reehal, Haelyn Reehal, and Lainey Reehal. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Michael Lunsford. The family is not planning a memorial service at this time. Claude A.
