Richard Steven "Steve" Hendrix

Mr. Richard Steven "Steve" Hendrix, 70, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Hendrix was born January 18, 1954, in Columbus and was the son of the late Rayford and Marguerite Dean Hendrix. He lived most of his life in LaGrange where he owned and operated Hendrix Automotive on West Point Road for over 40 years. Mr. Hendrix loved go-kart racing and built go-kart motors, was giving and always willing to help others, and was known as the "fixer of all things"

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Hendrix, daughters and son in-law, Christina and Tony Richardson and Megan Hendrix, all of LaGrange; grandchildren, Will, Brayden, Tinley, Aiden, Jake, and Colt; a great-grandchild, Livie; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hendrix was preceded in death by his three brothers.

A memorial service is not being planned at this time.
