Richard H. Brown, Sr.

Mr. Richard H. Brown, Sr., 69, of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born July 30, 1956, in Troup County, Mr. Brown was the son of the late Hillary Herbert Brown and Earline Bowen Brown. He was a veteran of service in the U.S. Marine Corps, was employed for ten years at Stran Steel, and then retired as an owner/operator over the road truck driver. He was a member of the Marine Corps League and was active in the Toys for Tots program. He loved his children and grandchildren and all of their friends and enjoyed fishing, camping, and boating.

Survivors include his wife, Toni Brown of Hogansville; son, Richard H. Brown, Jr. (Brandi) of Hampton; daughter, Brandy Karamesic (Amer) of Franklin; grandchildren, Mackenzie Karamesic, Madden Karamesic, Lily Brown, Annalyn Brown; sister, Susan Brown, of LaGrange; and brother, David Brown of Whitesburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Brad Brown.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Randall Hodge will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, prior to the service.
