Rev. Henry Edward (Eddie) Veal

REV. HENRY EDWARD VEAL Reverend Henry Edward (Eddie) Veal, 73 of Hogansville, passed away, Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Hospice LaGrange. Born July 18, 1947 in Hogansville, Rev. Veal was the son of the late Henry Delton Veal and Betty Pierce Veal. He was a lifelong resident of Hogansville and owned and operated Veal Heating and Air for many years. An ordained Baptist minister, Rev. Veal was a former pastor at Louise Baptist Church. After his retirement, he taught Sunday school and was a music leader at various churches. He loved his family, music, and pickin' and grinnin' on his guitar. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Ricky and Marsha Veal of LaGrange, Mark Veal of Hogansville, Tammy and Robbie Bailey of Bristol, VA, Christy and Jon Owens of Newnan, Milford and Amanda Lesley of LaGrange, Dianne and Kirk Bagwell of Woodstock, Darian and Michelle Lesley of Hogansville; sister, Elaine Veal of Anniston, AL; seventeen grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 30, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Donald Spradlin will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday and Saturday evenings.
