Resa Landreau Guy

Mrs. Resa Faye Landreau Guy, 94, of Newnan, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. Guy was born September 17, 1924, in Randolph County, Alabama, daughter of the late Robert and Pearlie Nichols. A longtime resident of Coweta and Troup counties, she was a former employee of Playtex International and Mansour's in LaGrange, and was also a talented seamstress. She was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church in Newnan and enjoyed crafts, gardening and flower arranging. Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Brad and Cornelia Landreau of Newnan; grandchildren, Pat Holcomb, James Landreau and his wife, Veronica; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Guy was preceded in death by her husbands, John E. Landreau and Rev. William M. Guy; her son, John E. Landreau, Jr.; and her grandson, Christopher Landreau. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 13, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend David Arrington will officiate and interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
