Reid Maynard Thompson

MR. MAYNARD THOMPSON Mr. Reid Maynard Thompson, 70 of Hogansville, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at Hospice LaGrange. Born May 13, 1943 in Hogansville, Mr. Thompson was the son of the late James Reid and Thelma Cochran Thompson. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and was a lifelong resident of Hogansville. Mr. Thompson was a car enthusiast, having attended many car shows and won many trophies. Survivors include his wife Sue Thompson; son and daughter in-law, Joe and Tammi Thompson; grandsons and granddaughter in-law, Austin and Robyn, Lawrence, and Dale Thompson; sister and brother in-law, Marie and Ken Hines, all of Hogansville; brothers in-law, Hollis, Lamar, Steve and Doyle Watts; sisters in-law, Hellon Evans, LaRue Goodroe, Geneva Hand, and Cindy Watts; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 17, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Tim Pemberton and the Rev. Clinton Hughes will officiate and interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Sunday night.
