Rebecca "Becky" Williamson

Mrs. Becky Williamson, 74, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Williamson was born December 16, 1948, in Heard County, daughter of the late Marvin and Myrtle Prescott Runels. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she was Baptist by faith and was employed at West Georgia Textiles for many years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed traveling and loved being with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Eddie Williamson of Hogansville; children, Shana Massa (Jim) of Advance, MO, Christopher Dire of Hogansville, Jerry Williamson (Karen) of Franklin, Jason Williamson (Lacie) of Hogansville; sisters, Sheila Mason of Cusseta, AL, Diane Briscoe of Loganville, Sandra Barrett of Oxford, Tammy Carpenter of Savannah; brother, Ronnie Runels of Cleveland; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and two soon to arrive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Dire and grandson, C.J. Dire.

The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 5, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend James Calhoun and the Reverend Todd Heil will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday.
