Mrs. Rebecca Bowles Moore, 90, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Florence Hand Home.
Mrs. Moore was born February 20, 1930, in Troup County, daughter of the late Charles and Addie Brown Bowles. A lifelong resident of Troup County, she retired from the Dixie Division of West Point Pepperell, was a longtime member of the First Christian Church, and had been active in LaGrange Active Life.
Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Lamar and Barbie Whitley; daughter, Dale Hosey, all of LaGrange; brother, Terrell Bowles of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Benji and Cheyenne Whitley, Haley and Alec Akin, Dan Stogner, Michael Bradley; great-grandchildren, Cami Whitley, Ryleigh Jane Akin, Zoie Cline, Grayden Cline, Danny Randall (Trey) Stogner III; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy H. Moore; son, Felton Whitley; granddaughter, Danielle Cline; and son in-law, Clifford Hosey.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Aaron McCollough, the Reverend Jimmy McMillian, and Bob Humphries will officiate and interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 Thursday afternoon.
Social distancing will be observed and the family requests that face masks be worn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Georgia Hospice.
