Rebecca Cooley Mcghee

Mrs. Rebecca Cooley McGhee, 89, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. McGhee was born February 11, 1929, in Heard County, daughter of the late Charles Hoyt Cooley and Camilla Street Cooley. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she was employed at Playtex International in LaGrange and was later employed as a supervisor at Carter's in Hogansville. She also served as a personal caregiver to many families and friends and was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons and daughters in-law, Larry and Johanna McGhee, Billy and Kathy McGhee, all of Hogansville; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend and caregiver, Jan Wade. She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. (Bill) McGhee; and her daughter, Becky McGhee. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Eddie Wood, Pastor Alex Montgomery, and Larry Pike will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
