MRS. REBECCA ASHLEY Mrs. Rebecca Buchanan Ashley, 77 of Carrollton, died Monday at Higgins General Hospital in Bremen. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Anthony Puckett will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. Born June 5, 1930 in Heard county, Mrs. Ashley was the daughter of the late George Richard Buchanan and the late Gussie Mae Norred Buchanan. She was a member of the Provident Baptist Church and had lived in Carroll county since 1962. She is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Lynn and Barry King of Waco; sons and daughters in-law, Robert and Laura Ashley and Billy Joe and Gail Ashley, all of Carrollton; a sister, Kate Dombrowski of Manasha, WI.; her brother, George Buchanan of Stockbridge; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harlis Ashley. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
