Rebecca Ann (Becky) McGhee, 68, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
Ms. McGhee was born June 27, 1948, in Troup County and lived in Hogansville most of her life. She was among the first listed female welders in Georgia and was employed for many years by Fluor Daniel Corporation. She had attended Ayers Memorial United Methodist Church in LaGrange.
Survivors include daughters, Michelle Worthy of LaGrange, Angela Bozeman and Ray Crawford of Grantville; son, James (Jimmy) Cobb and Cynthia Vayda of Titusville, FL; her mother, Rebecca Cooley McGhee of Hogansville; brothers and sisters in-law, Larry and Joanna McGhee, Billy and Kathy McGhee, all of Hogansville; former son in-law, Scott Worthy; longtime friends, Dan Martin and Greg Duffey; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, William S. (Bill) McGhee.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Wayne Hester will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night.
