Raymond H. Smith, Sr.

Mr. Raymond H. Smith, Sr., 85, of Grantville, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Smith was born October 5, 1938, in Hogansville, son of the late Harvey and Elsie Shirey Smith. A resident of Coweta County most of his life, he had owned and operated Raymond Smith Cabinet Shop, Inc. in Grantville since 1972. He loved working in his business, also loved working on his farm, and enjoyed racing.

Survivors include his sons, Raymond Smith, Jr. and his wife Pam Smith, Neal Smith and his wife Cassie Smith, Ashley Smith and his wife Beth Smith; grandchildren, Catherine Coleman, Holly Ann White, Andrew Smith, Junior Smith, Jacob Smith, Will Smith; great-grandson, Jackson Coleman; a close nephew, David Thrower; and close niece, Tara Kirk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann O'Neal Smith; sisters, Annette Murray, Florene Smith Purcell, Eloise Cardwell, Edna Smith; and brothers, Wayne Smith and Paul Smith.

The family is honoring Mr. Smith's wishes that a memorial service not be conducted.
