MR. RAYMOND QUIGLEY, JR.
Mr. Raymond Y. Quigley, Jr., 88, of Carrollton and formerly of Luthersville, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton.
Mr. Quigley was born February 5, 1926, in Luthersville, son of the late Raymond and Florene Johnson Quigley. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War Two and then retired as a Technical Sergeant from the U. S. Air Force after twenty years of service. Following his military service, he lived in Luthersville until making his home in Carrollton in 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Quigley of Carrollton; daughters, Lynda Brandly of Big Rapids, Michigan and Beverly Noles of Carrollton; four grandchildren, Chris Noles and his friend Shelby Blankenship who served as Mr. Quigley's caregiver, Matthew Brandly, Mark Brandly, Laura Myers and her husband Ryan; and three great-grandchildren, Levi Myers, Rhynn Myers, and Jacob Noles.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 28, at the graveside in the Luthersville Cemetery, with full military honors. The Reverend Frank Powers will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p. m. Friday.
