MR. RAYMOND COUCH
Mr. Raymond Couch, 81, of Hogansville, died Saturday, July 5, 2014, in Hospice Atlanta at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
Mr. Couch was born March 3, 1933, in Hazard, Kentucky, son of the late Dewey and Bessie Hodgkins Couch. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the VFW, retired as a foundry millwright from Chrysler Corporation in Indianapolis, and had lived in Hogansville since 1995. He enjoyed gardening, coin collecting and studying the stock market; however, his life revolved around his love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his son and daughter in-law, Greg and Lisa Couch of Hogansville; sister, Shirley Engle of Scottsburg, IN; brothers, Ray Couch of Orlando, FL, and Denver Couch of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Rhiannon Massengale, Greg Couch, Raymond Couch, and Ryan Couch; and great-grandchildren, Neal, Carson, Gabriel, Shealyn, Kynleigh, and Nolan. He was preceded in death by his son, Raymond Steve Couch; and his daughter, Debra Couch.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Frank Sledge will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night.
