Randy Hogan, age 68, of Newnan, was called to his heavenly home on September 6, 2021.
Randy was born to Billy Marion and Helen Rosser Hogan on April 24, 1953 in Newnan. He grew up in the Grantville area and was lucky enough to be able to walk to both sets of grandparent's homes. He graduated from Newnan High School, and it was there he met the love of his life, Kay Stanford. Kay and Randy have celebrated 48 years of marriage.
Randy loved the Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church of Newnan, where he served as a deacon. Randy had a deep love and devotion for his family, and enjoyed big family gatherings at his home as well as family trips. He loved the outdoors, and as a young boy he camped on the river with his daddy, and as an adult he loved to go on fishing trips with his best friend Gary.
He is survived by his wife Kay, their children Amy Bessette (Michael), and Troy Hogan (Leslie). He was the proud Granddaddy of Kenzi, Joseph, Will, Ellington, and Carson and is survived by his mother in-law, Betty Stanford; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Hogan Davis. He will be missed by his family and friends.
The family is planning a private memorial gathering and service at their home. Burial will be in the Grantville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Newnan.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
