Randal E. (Randy) Jones

Mr. Randal E. (Randy) Jones, 75, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018. Mr. Jones was born November 15, 1942, in Atlanta, son of the late Weems Donald Jones and Sarah Minter Jones. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army, he earned a master's degree from Georgia Tech in 1968 and retired as corporate credit manager for Lane Ltd. He lived in the metro Atlanta area most of his life before making his home in Troup County in 2015, was Methodist by faith, and was a supporter of Therapy Dogs International. Mr. Jones enjoyed gardening and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Survivors include his wife, Martha Jones of Hogansville; nieces and their husbands, Day and Jeff Poling of Sharpsburg, Paige and Mike Dillistin of West Palm Beach, FL; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Canine Companions for Independence, P. O.
