Rance O'Neal Henson

MR. RANCE O. HENSON Mr. Rance O. Henson, 75, of Hogansville, died Monday, September 7, 2009, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, at Rock of Ages Baptist Church. The Reverend Randy Dunlap and the Reverend Ricky Pursley will officiate and interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange. Mr. Henson was born July 27, 1934, in Chambers County, Alabama, son of the late William and Mattie Hamilton Henson. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he lived in Troup County most of his life, was a member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church, and was retired from the Hapeville Division of Ford Motor Company. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Manning Henson of Hogansville; granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Moody and her husband, Keith, of Hogansville; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Irene Moody; step-son and his wife, Shane and Lisa Spradley of Butler; and step-grandchildren, T. J. Spradley and Jonathan Purgason. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Henson; his daughter, Kathy Barnes; and an infant son and an infant daughter. Claude A.
