Mr. Phillip Woodroe James, 45, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. James was born March 2, 1980, in Newnan, lived in Coweta County before making his home in Hogansville in 2023, and was employed at Barnett & Cheeves in Newnan. Phillip had a big heart, enjoyed life, and dearly loved his kids and grand-kids. He also loved four-wheeling and cars, and enjoyed sports and supporting his Georgia Bulldogs.
Survivors include his wife, Jamie James of Hogansville; children, Jacob James and his wife Hannah James of Seneca, SC, Michael James of Hogansville, David Haywood and his wife Rosie Haywood of Alaska, Phenix James of Hogansville; grandchildren, Malcolm Coblentz and Rowan James; mother and step-father, Mary Helen and Chris Tanner of Locust Grove; brother, Ronald James of Stockbridge; sister, Megan James of Williamson; and grandmother, Ann Tanner of Jackson.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jason Phillips officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Friday, prior to the service.
