Perry Beckom

MR. PERRY BECKOM

Mr. Perry Beckom, 93 of LaGrange, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023, at Hospice LaGrange.

Born April 27, 1930 in Sharpsburg, Mr. Beckom was one of thirteen children and the son of the late John Burton Beckom and Bertha Bernice Eason Beckom. He lived most of his life in LaGrange and was an "honest salesman". Mr. Beckom loved studying his Bible, preaching the gospel, and would always tell you "Jesus Loves You".

Survivors include his children, Lamar and Leah Beckom, Patricia Horton, and Thomas and Yolonda Beckom, all of LaGrange; sisters, Catherine Beckom of Villa Rica and Janelle and Billy Peterman of Winterville; brother, Jack and Carla Beckom of Barnesville; 11 grandchildren;13 great-grandchildren; and his lifelong special friends, Lisa Daniel and his goddaughter, Mandy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Beckom was preceded in death by his sons, Paul and Ricky Beckom; the mother of his children, Sarah Smallwood; 3 sisters and 6 brothers.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 10, at the graveside in Shadowlawn Cemetery with the Reverend Randall Hodge officiating.
