Peggy Gabriel Vinson

Mrs. Peggy Gabriel Vinson, 87, of Gay, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Vinson was born September 26, 1930, in Atlanta, daughter of the late Frank and Nannie Myrtle Bailey Gabriel. A resident of Meriwether County for fifty years, she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in the Rocky Mount Community. Mrs. Vinson enjoyed living in a rural area where she was able to raise horses, and she was a talented cook who loved sharing her food with others. Survivors include her daughter, Donna McCoy; son, Dana Vinson and his wife Cindy, all of Gay; granddaughters, Melanie and Jeff London, Amy and Allen Dees; and great-grandchildren, Alison and Thomas Watson, Ansley and Erich Clark, Austin Dees, Abby Deese, Caleb London, Joshua London, Hannah London. She was preceded in death by her husband, Asa Edward Vinson. A celebration of life is being planned at her home. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
