MRS. PEGGY TONEY
Mrs. Peggy Williamson Toney, 68, of LaGrange, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 26, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor Chris Lotz will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night.
Mrs. Toney was born October 28, 1942, in Stewart County, daughter of the late Otis and Lois Bradshaw Williamson. A former resident of Hogansville, she had lived in Troup County most of her life, and was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was the wife of the late Samuel Philip Toney.
Survivors include her daughter, Julie Cook; son and daughter in-law, Burt and Manda Toney, all of LaGrange; brothers, David Williamson of Hogansville and Danny Williamson of San Diego, CA; and four grandchildren, Chase Cook, Shane Cook, Samantha Toney, and Ansley Toney.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
