Peggy Grier Samples

Mrs. Peggy Grier Samples, age 68, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, at her home.

Mrs. Samples was born September 8, 1957, in Butler, daughter of the late Joseph Monroe Grier and Geraldine Daniel Grier. A member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church in Hogansville, she was a retired life insurance agent, having represented Combined Insurance Company and then American General Life Insurance Company. She enjoyed fishing and karaoke, and loved being with all of her family, including her husband, children, siblings, and especially her grandbabies.

Survivors include her husband, Rickey Samples of Hogansville; daughters and sons in-law, Jessica and Chris Bunn of Franklin, Nikki and Stephen Arndt of Hogansville; grandchildren, Brayleigh Bunn, Jase Bunn, Natalie Bunn, Dawson Foster, Brantley Arndt, Hunter Arndt and his wife Sam; sisters, Sharon McCallister (Mark), Kathy Fuller (Jerry); brothers, Larry Grier (Christine), Ricky Grier (Sherry), all of Mauk; and a number of nieces, nephews, family, and friends that she loved dearly.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Randall Dunlap will officiate and interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 22.
