It is with great sadness that we announce the quick passing of Peggy Jean Perigen Hernandez. Peggy was born April 03, 1973, in Fiona, Texas, to Karen Ann King.
Although Peggy had many struggles in this life, she never gave up, and she just kept on moving forward. She was extremely bright and extraordinarily caring. She had such a quick wit and was one of the most ridiculously silly people you could ever hope to meet. The demons of alcohol tried to keep their grips on her life, but she has finally broken free! She was notoriously known for her love of karaoke and a good song on the radio. Peggy was a very selfless person. Her final act of selflessness and final gift was the gift of Organ Donation.
Peggy is survived by "the light of her life", daughter Kieran Clay Schweighart, and her precious granddaughter Sadie Gray Libourel, who gave her new meaning of life; her husband, Guillermo Hernandez. Peggy is also survived by her mother Karen Ann King, her father James Gray Munford (step-mom Gloria Munford), sisters Elizabeth Rivera (brother in-law Osvaldo "Valin"), Candice Ramirez (brother in-law Carlos), and brother David Burris (sister in-law Jodie). She also loved and cherished her nieces Alejandra, Danielle and Arielle, and nephews Clay, Colby and Xsavior, great niece Keeata, and great nephews Audriel and Malik.
Peggy is pre-deceased by her precious son, Matthew Schweighart, who was born still.
The family will be planning a celebration of life for later in the summer of 2025 with the location in Southern California to be determined and details to be posted later.
If you have photos you'd like to share or a story you think she would like to hear, please send them to Kieran Clay. She would love to hear them all since she was only able to enjoy her Mama for 23 years.
