Peggy Keith Hamilton

Mrs. Peggy Keith Hamilton, 84, of Greenville, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, at her home.

Mrs. Hamilton was born June 14, 1940, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Dewey and Tommie Lou Woodruff Keith. A member of Mountville Baptist Church, she was employed for many years by Playtex International in LaGrange and in Newnan. She loved taking care of her family, enjoyed being a caregiver, and loved everyone that she met. She also enjoyed cooking and baking and loved to share what she prepared with family and friends.

Survivors include her sons, James Robert Hamilton and his wife Teresa, Homer Eugene Hamilton, and John Dewey Hamilton, all of Greenville; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Dewey Hamilton; sons, Billy Ray Hamilton and Jimmy Lee Hamilton; two grandchildren; sister, Alice Keith Dawson; and brother, Dewey Eugene Keith.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Monday, September 23, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Dwayne Perdue and the Reverend Max McCord will officiate and interment will be in the Mountville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday.
