MRS. PEARLENE BUCHANAN
Mrs. Pearlene Evans Buchanan, 73, of Eastman, died Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Hospice LaGrange.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, at LaGrange Pentecostal Holiness Church. The Reverend Charles Hanson will officiate and interment will be at 4:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Eastman.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night.
Mrs. Buchanan was born August 29, 1938, in Dodge County, daughter of the late J. L. and Annie Ruth Lashley Evans. She lived in Troup County for 28 years before returning to Eastman in 1998, was a member of LaGrange Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was retired from West Georgia Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Buchanan of Eastman; sons and daughters in-law, Randall and Kaye Hodge of Hogansville and Leonard and Maudie Hodge of LaGrange; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Her first husband, J. M. Hodge, preceded her in death.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
