MRS. PAULINE JOHNSON
Mrs. Pauline Cummings Johnson, 82, of Five Points, Ala., died Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at George H. Lanier Memorial Nursing Home in Valley, Ala.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Friday, January 31, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend Charlie Bolt officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:15 p.m., Friday.
Mrs. Johnson was born October 6, 1931, in Randolph County, Ala., daughter of the late John Wesley Cummings and Ruth Fuller Cummings. She was a member of Jordan Chapel Methodist Church in Newell, Ala., lived in Five Points most of her life, and was retired from Kleen-Tex Industries in LaGrange.
Survivors include her sons, Clarence Mabry of Five Points and John Wayne Simons of Butler; daughters, Ruth Blair, Nellie Wright, and Lenora Lynn Simons, all of Five Points; sisters, Moline Reed of Henagar, Ala. and Gene Smith of Clacksville, Ala.; six grandsons, three granddaughters, and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Mary Joyce Simons and Betty Jean Freeman; step-mother, Eartle Brewer; and twenty siblings.
