MR. PAUL E. WINTER Mr. Paul E. Winter, 68, of Hogansville, died Monday, May 7, 2012, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, May 10, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Robert Longshore officiating. The family will receive friends at their home at 7181 Keith Rd. in Hogansville from 6 until 8 Wednesday night and at the funeral home immediately before and after the memorial service. Mr. Winter was born June 21, 1943, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, son of the late Okie Owen Winter and Pearl Carmichael Winter. A veteran of service in the U. S. Army, he lived in the Hogansville area for fifty years, was Baptist by faith, and was a retired after 25 years service as a truck driver for MK Trucking Co. Survivors include his daughter, Karen Collier of Hogansville; sons, Dean Winter of Newnan and Michael Gay of Lanett, AL; sisters, Sue Dennis and Lydia Hayes of Parkersburg, WV; brothers, Rick Winter and Bud Winter, also both of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Jonathan Collier, Joshua Cook, Ashleigh Winter, Tyler Gay and Cody Gay; and special nieces, Lorraine Wallace and Vicky Askew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marion (Jitt) Winter and brother, Christopher Winter. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Wednesday night May 9th, at his home at 7181 Keith Rd. in Hogansville and at the funeral home immediately before and after the memorial service on Thursday, May 10th Services: 5:00 p.m., Thursday, May 10th, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home
