Mrs. Patty Hamilton Calhoun, 76, of Luthersville, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017, at her home.
Mrs. Calhoun was born October 30, 1940, in Atlanta, daughter of the late Hastings and Aileen Gay Hamilton. A resident of Meriwether County for more than fifty years, she was employed many years as a cashier and loved caring for her animals, which included horses, dogs, cats and birds.
Survivors include her daughter, Amanda Pate and her husband, Billy (Tinkie) Pate of Greenville; son, William Thomas Calhoun, Jr. and Connie Domangue of Moreland; son in-law, Manuel Cruz of Oakland, CA; grandchildren, Shelly Calhoun and Austin Moncus; great-grandchildren, Layla Calhoun and James Calhoun; brother and sister in-law, Buck and Georgia Hamilton of Columbus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Calhoun, Jr. and her daughter, Sherri Cruz.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Donnie Shelton officiating. Interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home before and after the memorial service.
