Patricia Stone Smith

Mrs. Patricia Stone Smith, of the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021, at her home. Mrs. Smith was born January 18, 1939, in Rocky Mount, daughter of the late William Barney Stone and Irene Myrl Caldwell Stone. A lifelong resident of Rocky Mount, she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and, along with her late husband, she had co-owned and operated Smith Hardware in Luthersville. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Smith, she is survived by her brother, William Barney Stone, Jr. and his wife Cliffene of Jonesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews, including Claudia Lentz and her husband Gerald of Luthersville. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 9, at the graveside in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Rocky Mount, with the Reverend Steve Smith officiating. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
