Patricia Barnett Hogg

Mrs. Patricia Barnett Hogg, 84, of LaGrange; passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange.

Mrs. Hogg was born July 9, 1938, in Harris County, daughter of the late Miles Leroy Barnett and Maude Pearl Whitley Barnett.

She owned and operated Pat Hogg Wedding Shop and served as wedding planner and caterer for the weddings of many area couples. She had served as pianist for Pleasant Grove Methodist Church and Oakside Baptist Church and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Mrs. Hogg enjoyed genealogy, not only studying her own family but also assisting others in researching their family histories.

Survivors include her daughter, Laura Jones and her son, Matthew Hogg, both of LaGrange; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Savannah Jones, and her brother Jimmy Barnett.

The family will host a Celebration of Mrs. Hogg's life at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 22, at Pleasant Grove Church, with the Reverend Larry Bird officiating.
