Patricia Gail Hamill

Mrs. Patricia Gail Hamill, 70, of LaGrange, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at her home.

Born November 19, 1955, Mrs. Hamill was the daughter of the late Melvin and Girlene Barnes of Hogansville. She attended Hogansville High School and retired on September 9, 2022 after many years of service from Milliken & Company. Patricia was saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, was Baptist by faith, and most recently attended Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Patricia enjoyed trips to the beach, NASCAR, Alabama football, and Atlanta Braves baseball, along with spending time at deer camp and hunting with her husband, James. These shared interests brought them many cherished moments together. As a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she leaves memories that her family will hold close in the days and years ahead.

She is survived by her husband, James R. Hamill; son, Larry T. Scarborough Jr., and his wife, Michelle; daughter, Windy Terrell; brothers, Tim Barnes and his wife, Stefanie, and Ronald Barnes and his wife, Joanie; sister-in-law, Susan Diebolt of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Chase Kennedy (Emily), Gage Scarborough (Madie), Tate Scarborough, Bobbie Hughes (Jesse), and Christin Miller (Jacob); great-grandchildren, Bentley, Easton, Baylor, Tucker, Camdon, Ellie, Shelby, and Maverick; several nieces and nephews; and numerous close friends. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brothers, Howard Barnes and Ricky Barnes; her sister, Diane Arrington; and her great-grandson, Bradley.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor James M. Butler of Hillcrest Baptist Church will officiate and interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 3 Sunday afternoon.
