MRS. PATRICIA H. CLAY
Mrs. Patricia Hicks Clay, 60, of Hogansville, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at her home, following a two-year battle with cancer.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with Rev. Kenny Kuykendall officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, at Emerald Hill Baptist Church Cemetery at Moultrie, with Rev. Kenny Glass officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home, and from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, at Emerald Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Clay was born August 24, 1951, in Tifton, daughter of the late James Willis Hicks and the late Katie Bailey Hicks. A resident of the Hogansville area for the past 25 years, she was a member of the Red Hat Society of LaGrange, enjoyed working with arts and crafts, and was a member of Emerald Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Nathan Clay of Hogansville; son and daughter in-law, Jerry and Tori Hancock of Tucker; step-children, Nathan Alan Clay, Jr. and his wife, Angie Dutton, Marcia Lee Royster and her husband, Jeremy, Stacy Denise Waddell and her husband, Dustin, all of Hogansville; sisters and brother in-law, Charlotte and D. L. Flowers of Morven, Carol Brooks of Adel, Annette Handley of Port St. Lucie, FL; brother and sister in-law, Roy and Joyce Hicks of Moultrie; seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lodge, 1552 Shoup Ct., Decatur, GA 30033, or to Nathan Clay for Medical Expenses of Patricia Clay, at any Community Bank and Trust Branch.
