PASTOR SCOTT ADAMS Pastor Scott Adams, 34, of Hogansville, died Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 6, at Highland Baptist Church in Hogansville, with the Reverend Aaron McCullough, the Reverend Clinton Hughes, and Todd Adams officiating. Interment will be at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 8,in Stephen Greene Memorial Cemetery in Winnsboro, SC, with the Reverend Mike Whitson officiating. Born October 19, 1975, in Columbia, SC, Pastor Adams was a graduate of Columbia International University in Columbia, SC and received a Master of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He had made his home in Hogansville and had served as pastor of Highland Baptist Church since August, 2009. Throughout his illness, Scott had a faith that never wavered. Survivors include his wife, Heather Adams; sons, Stephen Scott Adams II, Daniel Joel Adams, Caleb Michael Adams, and Aaron Luke Adams, all of Hogansville; his parents, Henry and Janice Adams of Winnsboro, SC; brother, Michael Todd Adams of York, PA; sister, Linsey Rebekah Adams of Winnsboro; grandmother, Emily Rabon of Winnsboro; and his father in-law and mother in-law, Glen and Beverly Ferguson of Waxhaw, NC. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Thursday night, August 5th, at Claude A.
