PAMELA FAYE JOHNSON Pamela Faye Johnson, of Albany, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, of injuries received in an automobile accident in Albany. Ms. Johnson was born July 27, 1944, in Wilson County, North Carolina, daughter of the late George and Mable Stancil Johnson. A resident of Albany for the past 30 years, she was a graduate of Darton State College and retired as a registered nurse from Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. She had been a member of Falkland Church of God and Watery Branch Freewill Baptist Church in North Carolina and was a member of First Baptist Church of Albany. She loved her cats, was an accomplished watercolor artist, and was a member of the Georgia Artists' Guild of Albany. Survivors include her son, George Alan Sapp; granddaughter, Toccoa Jones and her husband, Woody Jones; and great-grandchildren, Quinnten Lee Jones and Whit Khia Jones, all of Cordele. She was preceded in death by her son, Quinn Hugh Sapp. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 21, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Clinton Hughes will officiate and entombment will be in Shadowlawn Mausoleum in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Falkland Church of God, 5925 S. Main St., Falkland, NC 27827. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
