Owen Heard Brown

Mr. Owen Heard Brown, 61, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Born January 4, 1963, in LaGrange, Mr. Brown was a lifelong resident of Troup County, was a retired machinist, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a loving father, son, and brother and was loyal to his many lifelong friends.

Survivors include his daughter, Emily Brown of Lineville, AL; step-son, Chase Hughes and his wife Jasmine of LaGrange; his mother, Lois Heard Smith of LaGrange; sister, Cindy Garrard of Peachtree Corners; and grandchildren, Ryan Hildebrant and Ridley Hughes. He was preceded in death by his father, Arlin E. Brown; step-father, Charley D. Smith, Jr.; and his grandparents.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 22, at the graveside in Shadowlawn Cemetery, with Scott Atkins officiating.

The family will greet friends at the graveside.
