MR. ORBIE ARRINGTON Mr. Orbie B. Arrington, 76, of Hogansville, died Friday, March 23, 2012, at VistaCare Hospice at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 25, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend S. T. Janney and the Reverend Nick Pilgrim will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Saturday night. Mr. Arrington was born September 12, 1935, in Randolph County, Alabama, son of the late Ervin Joseph Arrington, Sr. and the late Lela Edmondson Arrington. A resident of Troup County most of his life, he was an Army veteran, was Baptist by faith, and was retired from Botex Sales. He was a member of the Hogansville American Legion Post, the Hogansville Masonic Lodge, and was a former member of the Hogansville Golf Club. Survivors include his daughters and sons in-law, Cindy and Bill Harris of Hogansville, Donna and Phillip Murrell of Hampstead, NH, Susan and Charles Hester and Jennifer Talley, all of LaGrange, Hillary Arrington of Franklin; sons and daughter in-law, Johnny and Kim Arrington of Hogansville, Joseph Arrington of Franklin; sister, Mary Nell and Roy Thompson of LaGrange; brother, Archie and Vivian Arrington, also of LaGrange; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ervin Arrington, Jr., Arnold Arrington, and Sam Arrington. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Saturday night, March 24th, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 25th, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Interment: Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville
