Ora E. Prestridge

Mrs. Ora E. Prestridge, 89, of Stovall, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020. Mrs. Prestridge was born December 19, 1930, in Jackson County, AL, daughter of the late Lester and Eula Pauline Broyles Harcrow. She lived in Meriwether County most of her life and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Franklin. She was a wonderful wife, mother, mother in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all and served as a role model. She loved her family and the Lord with all her heart and enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and flowers, especially roses. Survivors include her children, Larry and Brinda Prestridge of LaGrange, Sharon Hill of LaGrange, Terry and Jo Ellen Prestridge of Stovall; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Pat Guffey, Bobbie Ann Marshall, Paulette Highland, Becky Overton; brothers, Orman Harcrow and Calvin Harcrow; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron L. Prestridge; grandson, Benjamin Dunlap; two sisters; and three brothers. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, at the graveside in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery in LaGrange, with the Reverend Aaron McCollough and the Reverend Mike Hornsby officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Tuesday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
