MRS. OPAL H. ALLISON Mrs. Opal Hannah Allison, 92, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Pruitt Healthcare in Greenville. Mrs. Allison was born September 1, 1922, daughter of the late Earl and Ruth Murphy Hannah. A lifelong resident of Meriwether County, she was a member of Union Baptist Church in the St. Marks Community and was the wife of the late John D. Allison. Survivors include her nephew, Tim and Angie Ledford; two great-nieces, Allyson and Jerimy Stephens, Amanda and Shannon Snyder, all of Hogansville; and a number of cousins. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 26, at the graveside in Emmaus Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Hogansville, with the Reverend Bill Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Friday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Union Baptist Church in the St. Marks Community. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
