MR. OLIVER DAVIS Mr. Oliver Davis, 86, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Born February 21, 1929, in Troup County, Mr. Davis was the son of the late Peirce and Luta Davis. He was a lifelong resident of Hogansville, a member of Family Worship Center, and owned and operated the Hogansville Cleaners and Coin Laundry for 42 years. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Carolyn Davis of Hogansville; son and daughter in-law, Tony and Lisa Davis of Hogansville; sisters and brother in-law, Hazel and Bob Conely of Hapeville, Opal Bartlett, Margaret Sullivan, and Grace and Bobby Ward; brothers and sisters in-law, Curtis and Peggy Davis, JC and Ann Davis, and Ennis and Carol Davis, all of Newnan; sister in-law, Ann Vinyard of Hogansville; grandchildren, Libby and Clint Taylor of Hogansville and Garrett and Bridgett Davis of Moreland; and great-grandchildren, Jackson, Piper, and Zane Taylor. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his son, David Lee Davis, brother, Bruce Davis, and a sister Sybil Titshaw. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 17, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend James Calhoun and Clint Taylor will officiate and interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan.
