Olin M. (Mac) Sims

MR. OLIN M. (MAC) SIMS Mr. Olin McArthur (Mac) Sims, 64, of LaGrange, died Monday, April 30, 2012, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 3, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Prestridge, the Reverend Aaron McCollough and the Reverend Brian Geter will officiate and interment will be in the Pine Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night. Mr. Sims was born November 23, 1947, in Troup County, son of the late Johnny and Tavy Tarwater Sims. A lifelong resident of LaGrange, he retired from the Dunson Division of West Point Pepperell and was a member of Stovall Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughters and son in-law, Barbara and Chanc Williams of Hogansville, Rhonda Fuller and Timothy Flanagan, Jr. and Rebecca Sims, all of LaGrange; son, David Sims and Ada Conkin; sister, Margaret Marie Sims of Hogansville; brother, Bill Sims of Franklin; and grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Kara Williams, Caitlyn Williams, Jessica Fuller, and Kira Sims. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Helen Cole Sims. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
