MRS. OLA MAE HAMMETT
Mrs. Ola Mae Hammett, 66, of Hogansville, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at her home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jeremy Royster and the Reverend Jerry Ennis will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Thursday night.
Mrs. Hammett was born November 3, 1945, in Lone Oak, daughter of the late Charlie and Leila Brown Richardson. She lived in Hogansville most of her life and attended New Life Ministries in LaGrange. She was employed by Uniroyal, Inc. for 24 years and retired from Carter's in Hogansville after 13 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, Allen Hammett; daughter and son in-law, Valerie and Ricky Buice; son and daughter in-law, Tony and Christie Hammett, all of Hogansville; brothers, Buddy and Donnie Richardson of Hogansville, Dan and Marie Richardson of LaGrange, Hugh and Georgia Richardson of Broomfield, CO, and Frank and Darlene Richardson of Boise, ID; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters in-law, Dondra Richardson Brazeal, Anna Richardson, and Joyce Richardson and was preceded in death by her brothers, Lavone Richardson, Clinard Richardson, Cecil Richardson, and Sammy Richardson.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
