MRS. NOVELLE GRAY Mrs. Novelle Gray, 92, of Hogansville, died Saturday, November 26, 2011, at LaGrange Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 28, at Highland Baptist Church. The Reverend Terry Rainwater will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Sunday night. Mrs. Gray was born July 30, 1919, in Carroll County, daughter of the late Thomas and Berta Denney Shadinger. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she was a member of Hogansville Pilot Club and Highland Baptist Church, where she was active in the WMU. Along with her late husband, Leamon Gray, she owned and operated Gray's Laundromat for many years, and was also employed in the quality control department at Uniroyal, Inc., served as cafeteria manager for Hogansville Primary School, and was the first director of the Hogansville Senior Center. Survivors include her daughter, Alyce Weiher of Hogansville; sister, Mable Brown of Jasper; grandchildren, Darien and Tina Weiher, Tiffany and Troy Evans, John and Stephanie Weiher; great-grandchildren, Hannah Weiher, Brianna Smith, MacKenzie Smith, Sunshine Frazier and Ashlee Frazier. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Highland Baptist Church, 407 Askew Ave., Hogansville, GA 30230. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Sunday night, November 27th, at Claude A.
