Norma Sue Deel Bryan

Mrs. Norma Sue Deel Bryan, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Columbus Hospice. Mrs. Bryan was born December 20, 1935, in Clinchco, Virginia, daughter of the late Burns and Nevalee Adkins Deel. A member of Greenville Baptist Church, she was a nurse, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched a lot of lives and was loved by many. Survivors include her children, B. L. and Cathy Bryan of Greenville, Laura and Clint Wilson of Woodbury, Chris and Teresa Bryan of Luthersville; grandchildren, Jessica and Kyle Johnson of Hamilton, Chase Wilson of Greenville, Cameron and Lily Bryan of Luthersville, Ian Bryan of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Lance Johnson, Emersyn Johnson, Cohen Bryan, Cooper Bryan, Carson Bryan; and sister, Lee Anna Asbury of McLeansville, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wheeler Bryan; granddaughter, Abbagale Caitlan Bryan; and brother, Bob Deel. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, at the graveside at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery in Heard County, with the Reverend Jonathan Porter, Bill Bryan and Ian Bryan officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate friends and family making memorial contributions to a favorite charity. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
