Mrs. Nita Craft Windsor, of Moreland, passed away, Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at her home.
Mrs. Windsor was born September 12, 1935, in Decatur, AL, daughter of the late Bryant and Zell Tarrance Craft. She was a 1953 graduate of Hogansville High School, where she had enjoyed playing basketball and serving as a cheerleader, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Moreland, where she had sung soprano in the church choir. Mrs. Windsor enjoyed painting and gardening, loved music and traveling, but she especially loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her childhood sweetheart and husband of 68 years, H.C. "Pete" Windsor of Moreland; her children, Chris Windsor and his wife Jan of Liberty Hill, TX, Kittie Duncan and her husband Randall of Moreland; grandchildren, Stephen Windsor (Mindi) of Round Rock, TX, Kristal Richards (James) of Newnan, Anna Kana (Billy) and Zachary Windsor, all of Round Rock, TX, and Seth Duncan (Courtney) of Anniston, AL; and great-grandchildren, Braeden, Makaylie, and Ellie Kate Richards, Bennett and Blair Kana, Maci, Morgan, and Walker Windsor, Silas and Grant Duncan.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 25, at First Baptist Church of Moreland. The Reverend Todd Slade will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, prior to the service.
